Edo 2020: “Clear your name off viral dollar video first” Obaseki slams Governor Ganduje

Governor Obaseki has called on Governor Ganduje to clear his name off dollars video over comment against his achievements in Edo State.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has condemned a comment credited to the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje which described him as a failure.
While speaking at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Ganduje had on Friday described his counterpart from Edo State as a woeful failure and a liability to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Onyxnews Nigeria learnt that the Kano State governor had declared that Obaseki’s failure would help the winning of the All Progressives Congress, APC, during the September 19 gubernatorial election.
Reacting, Obaseki said Ganduje was in no position to assess his performance because he has “baggage of the viral video of him stuffing dollars collected from contractors”.
Ganduje was recently caught on camera reportedly collecting kickbacks from contractors in his state.
The allegation he has since denied.
However, a statement by Crusoe Osagie, spokesperson to Obaseki said the comment by Ganduje was disgraceful and laughable, explaining that the Edo governor does not stuff dollars in his pocket.
“The comment by Governor Ganduje on the performance of Governor Obaseki in the office is at best laughable. It is also disgraceful because the APC has apparently misconstrued the meaning of performance.
“Ganduje is in no position to assess Governor Obaseki or any other governor for that matter because he has a piece of baggage hanging on his neck, which he needs to clear,” Obaseki slammed Ganduje full statement read.
