President Contracts Coronavirus.
According to Bloomberg’s report, President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has contracted coronavirus despite showing no symptoms.
OnyxNews Nigeria gathered that president Sousa’s testing positive to the surging pandemic was made public in a statement shared on Monday, January 11, 2021, on the Presidency official website.

The President, who is seeking a second tenure in office, tests positive for the deadly diseases just before his election and commence self-isolate in his official residence in Lisbon.
According to the statement from the Portuguese Presidency, Marcelo Rebelo was initially tested negative but the second test came out positive.
The statement added that another test was performed, with the results not yet known.
The 72-year-old president had in August 2020, rescued two women from drowning at an Algarve beach after their boat capsized.
He was captured swimming over to assist the women with lifeguards who were struggling in the water after they were swept away by currents.
The women’s kayak capsized and they were swept away by currents. Luckily for them, the president was at the beach at the time.
