Saraki, PDP Chieftains Meet IBB, Abdulsalami In Minna.
OnyxNews Nigeria quotes report by Daily Trust that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reconciliation committee met with the former military head of state, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his hilltop residence in Minna, Niger State capital.
At the end of the meeting with Babangida, the Committee led by former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, proceeded to the Minna residence of former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, for a private visit.
Speaking after their meeting with IBB on Friday, leader of the committee said the visit was in continuation of the ongoing reconciliation of aggrieved members of the party.
He said IBB was briefed about the steps taken by the committee to reconcile aggrieved individuals within PDP.

Saraki said: “We are here as members of the PDP reconciliation and Strategic committee as part of our nationwide consultation with our leaders which we started at the beginning of the week.
“We planned to start with former Presidents and founding Fathers of PDP. General Babangida is one of the founding fathers of PDP and someone we all respect. We briefed him on the steps taken and efforts made in reconciliation of the party members. We seek for his support, advice and guidance.”
