Lagos Commissioner Of Police Visits Nigerian Institute Of Journalism, Did This To Teachers
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu on Tuesday visited his alma mater, the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos to felicitate with his former lecturers in celebration of the World Teacher’s Day.
The CP said though, the visit was impromptu, yet necessary to pay the institution and its management a courtesy visit after a long time.
NIJ management, led by its Provost, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye, received him and his entourage. Adefaye appreciated his call and placed a demand on him and other alumni to assist the institution in whatever way they could.
The school Provost noted that the school was not doing badly but with the additional support of the alumni, more could be achieved. “It will be a good thing if the NIJ Alumni Association, can be revived, made more robust and its members unite to give back to their Alma mater“, Mr Adefaye said.
Odumosu in his response commended NIJ lecturers for the professional training they gave him while he was a student at the institution.
Amongst the officers on the entourage of the Lagos State Police boss were the Area G commander, Ogba, ACP Ibrahim Zungura and media crew.
