BREAKING: President Buhari Makes Fresh Appointment

President Muhammadu Buhari has made a fresh appointment.
Onyxnewsng reports that the Nigerian president has appointed Professor Ayo Omotayo as Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.
President Buhari also urged the Senate to confirm Professor Ayo Omotayo’s new appointment.
The request was contained in a letter read on Tuesday during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, minutes after the body resumed plenary following its eighteen working days break.
The Special Assistant (Press) to President of the Senate, Ezrel Tabiowo confirmed this in a statement.
He said President Buhari in the letter sought the confirmation of Omotayo as Director-General of the NIPSS in compliance with the Section 5(2) of the NIPSS Act 2004 The letter was titled, “Request for Confirmation of the Appointment of Prof. Ayo C. Omotayo, PhD as Director-General, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).”

It read, “In accordance with the provisions of Section 5, subsection 2 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies Act 2004, I write to present to the Senate for confirmation the appointment of Prof. Ayo C. Omotayo as Director-General, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).”
