JUST IN: Top APC Chieftain Dumps Party
Onyxnewsng reports that a top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Agu Ndukwe Orji, has dumped the opposition party in Abia State and announced his return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He also resigned as Director-General of the OUK Movement, the political structure of the current Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and former Governor of Abia, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
Recall that Ndukwe Orji had in 2018 defected to the APC from the ruling PDP alongside a former member of the National Assembly, Hon Arua Arunsi, who represents Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal Constituency of Abia State at the House of Representatives to rally support for the 2019 senatorial bid of the ex-governor, now senator, representing Abia North Senatorial District in the Senate.
On the backdrop of his return to the PDP, the state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, on Monday, approved his appointment as General Manager of Abia State Road Maintenance Agency (ABROMA).
The Abia Chief Executive also approved the appointment of Barrister Olugu Kalu Ugba, as his Deputy Chief of Staff.

This was contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Chris Ezem, and issued to newsmen in Umuahia, the state capital, on Monday.
“The two appointments take immediate effect”, the release stated.
