Popular Islamic Cleric Declares For 2023 Presidency
A 40-year-old Ibadan-based Islamic cleric, Olasupo Akinola, has declared to contest the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He claimed that God directed him to contest the post, saying Nigerians were living in abject poverty, so there is need for a God-fearing leader to emerge.

Addressing APC supporters at Community Primary School, Olomi-Academy, Ibadan, the presidential aspirant said Nigeria was in serious trouble, noting that God had sent him to proffer solution to the problems.
He said there was need to rebuild the country and make life better for the poor, urging past leaders to support his dream to take the nation to the promised land.
