Heavy Protest Hits Osun State After Tribunal Nullified Governor Adeleke’s Election
Heavy protest hit Osun state following the judgment of the tribunal that sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke as the state governor.
The tribunal during a sitting today affirmed that there was over voting in the election and cancelled about 10 local governments where it was discovered.
After deducting the votes, Oyetola was declared the winner of the election, nullifying Ademola Adeleke’s win, which took place in July 2022.
In their reaction, residents stormed the streets and blocked a major bridge, expressing their displeasure in the court decision.
