She was best known for her role as FBI agent Renee Walker in the television series “24.”
Wersching’s husband, Stephen Full, issued the following statement to CNN:
“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall,” he wrote.
“The Last of Us,” based on the game, Neil Druckmann, tweeted about Wesching’s death:
“Just found out my dear friend, Annie Wersching, passed away. We just lost a beautiful artist and human being. My heart is shattered. Thoughts are with her loved ones.”
“Handmaid’s Tale” actress Ever Carradine established a GoFundMe page in support of Annie’s children and husband “so they can continue to live life in a way that they know would make Annie proud.”
“General Hospital” in 2007. Her breakthrough role was as FBI agent Renee Walker on the hit Fox show “24,” where she co-starred with Kiefer Sutherland for the seventh and eighth seasons.
“Bosch,” as well as a recurring role as the villainous vampire Lily Salvatore on The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries.”
Wersching, who played the Borg Queen in “Star Trek Picard” in 2022, frequently shared photos from set in full costume, along with messages of thanks to the makeup and prosthetics artists who transformed her into the intergalactic villain. Wersching’s role in “Star Trek Picard,” which airs on Paramount+, is one of her most recent professional credits, according to IMDb.
Wersching’s husband ended his statement on Sunday with a touching memory.
“As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family.”
