Journalists Not Allowed To Access Banana Island Collapsed Building Site
Journalists seeking to visit the site of the collapsed seven-storey building in Banana Island, Lagos State have been denied access to the estate.
Banana Island is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Nigeria, home to some of the wealthiest people in the country. Access to the estate can not be gained without getting an access code from a resident.

According to report reaching Onyxnewsng, different media houses including Channels TV, TVC, Arise, The Punch, Guardian and others, have been asked to wait outside the estate gate. And the journalists have been waiting for about three hours under a tent provided by the estate Management.
The estate management has reacted that, “They don’t want hoodlums to gain access into the estate in order to forestall breakdown of law and order.
