Meet The Newly Appointed Nigerian Service Chiefs (Photos)
President Bola Tinubu has retired the Nigerian Service Chiefs and approved their replacement with immediate effect.
Below are the list of the newly appointed Service Chiefs and their geopolitical zones:
Meet the new Acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun
Born on Sept. 4, 1964 in Erinja, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, Egbetokun enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on March 3, 1990, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
In 1999, he was appointed Chief Security Officer to Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu.
He served as the Commander, Rapid Response Squad, Lagos, Squadron Commander, Mopol 5, Benin, Benin City, Officer-in-Charge, Anti-Fraud Unit, FCT Command, Abuja; Chief Superintendent of Police, Administration, Lagos State Command Head Quarters, Ikeja; Area Commander, Osogbo, Osun State Command; and Area Commander, Gusau, Zamfara State Command, among others.
Egbetokun graduated from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, with Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in June 1987; and lectured Mathematics briefly at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, before his enlistment into the Police Force.
His other academic qualifications include MSC Engineering Analysis, also from the University of Lagos, Akoka, 1996; Post-Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Economics from Delta State University, Abraka, 2000; and an MBA from Lagos State University, Ojo, 2004.
A 1987 graduate of Mathematics from University of Lagos (UNILAG), Egbetokun lectured Mathematics briefly at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, before he was enlisted into the Nigerian police.
He also holds MSc Engineering Analysis from UNILAG, Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Economics from Delta State University, Abraka, and MBA from Lagos State University, Ojo.
He is married with children.
The new Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General EPA Undiandeye. He’s from Cross River State.
Meet Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, from Enugu State, he is the new Chief of Naval Staff.
Meet the new Comptroller General of Customs, Adeniyi Bashir Adewale. Adewale is from Osun state.
Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, newly appointed Chief of Staff to Nigeria AirForce. He hails from Shanono LGA, Kano State.
Meet Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the new Chief of Defence Staff.
He is from Zangon Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna state.
Meet newly appointed Chief of Nigerian Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja.
He hails from Irepedun LGA, Osun State.
