Police Nab Teenagers For Stealing Phones, Laptops in Bauchi

Bauchi State Police Command have arrested four suspected members of a syndicate that specializes in robbing residents of their mobile phones and laptops.
A total of 10 phones and 3 laptops were recovered from the teenage suspects who were arrested after they robbed a Tecno WP3S belonging to one Destiny Samuel “m’ 11yrs and Numzar Gambo ‘m’ 9yrs all of Birshi Gandu in Bauchi local government area.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil who made this known in a statement on Sunday said the robbery incident occurred July 27, 2023.
He said on receipt of the information, Police detectives attached to E’ Divisional Headquarters led swung into action, rushed to the scene, and arrested the following suspects; Usman Musa ‘m’ 18 years and Usama Sulaiman ‘m’ also 18 years old.
Following their arrest, the suspects were said to have confessed and indicted two other persons who were later arrested.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects an Itel phone, a machete, 1 stick, 1 Samsung galaxy-S8,1 Samsung Galaxy AO3, 1 Techno KB7J, 1 Tecno Pouvoir, 1 Itel,1 Panasonic phone, 1 Itel 1516 plus, 1 Tecno, and one other Tecno A33.
Others are 1 Power bank,1 Lenovo laptop, 1 ASUS laptop, 1 Compaq laptop, 23 phone pouches, 1 laptop charger, 1 mouse, and 1 phone charger.
“A discreet investigation is ongoing, after which the suspects will be profiled and charged to court,” Wakil stated.
