Popular Footballer Dies On Field

A footballer simply named Lukman Success has reportedly slumped and died during a training session at the Kwara State Stadium Complex on Saturday.

Oladele Abolarin aka Radical, a friend to the deceased has said all efforts to revive Lukman Success proved abortive during the five aside match as he was rushed to the general hospital where he was confirmed dead.

According to Radical, “During the five aside football match, Success fell without any one touching him; there was no contact at all.”

He explained that they had an accident while conveying the deceased to his hometown in Oyo State.

“Myself, the driver a colleague sustained injuries while we were trying to take his corpse to Oyo his town. Our vehicle (was) involved in road accident at Eyenkorin just after the bridge, Thank God for sparing our lives,” Radical explained.
