Natasha And 13 Other Senators Appointed As Committee Chairmen

On Tuesday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced several appointments for different committees within the Senate.

One of the key appointments was Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a member of the People’s Democratic Party representing Kogi Central, who was named as the chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content and also as the vice chairman of the Committee on Steel.

Another appointment of note was Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, a member of the All Progressives Congress representing Ondo South, who was appointed as the chairman of the Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs.

Along with these two appointments, thirteen other senators were also appointed as chairmen and vice chairmen of various committees.

6. Committee on Sport Development: Kawu Sumaila (chairman) and Ned Nwoko (vice-chairman)
7. Committee on Niger Delta Affairs: Babajide Ipinsagba (chairman) and Rev. Amos Kumai Yohanna (vice-chairman)
8. Committee on Art, Culture and Creative Economy: Onawo Ogoshi (chairman) and Okechukwu Ezea (vice-chairman)
9. Committee on Defence: Senator Joel Onowakpo (vice-chairman)
