‘Trolls Called Me Frog’ – Davido Explained

Afrobeats artist, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has explained why he purchased a multi-million-naira frog pendant from luxury jewelry brand, Ice Box.

During an interview with GQ, Davido revealed that he created a frog-shaped pendant in response to social media trolls who had been mocking his voice by comparing him to a frog.

He explained that because of his hoarse voice, trolls were calling him “frog” on Twitter (now X) and he decided to make something out of it.

Davido said: “I made a frog pendant because my voice is hoarse and they [trolls] were calling me frog on Twitter. I was like, you know what? I’m going to make a chain out of that sh*t.”
