Supercopa 2024: FC Barcelona To Face Real Madrid In Final
Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to face each other in the Spanish Supercopa final on Sunday, following Barcelona’s 2-0 victory over Osasuna in the second semi-final.
Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal both found the back of the net in the second half of the match, which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Barcelona had experienced a winless streak before the start of 2024, causing them to fall seven points behind LaLiga leaders Madrid and Girona.
However, this victory was relatively straightforward for Barcelona, especially after Lewandowski scored the opening goal in the 59th minute, marking his 11th goal of the season.
Late in the match, substitutes João Félix and Lamine Yamal combined to secure the win for Barcelona.
Notably, Lamine Yamal’s goal made him the youngest player ever to score in the Supercopa at the age of 16 years and 182 days, earning praise from Xavi.
