I Have My Outfit, Acceptance Speech Ready – Ayra Starr Speaks On Grammy Award Price
Ayra Starr, a Nigerian Afrobeat singer, has expressed her excitement and preparations for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony.
In an interview with Cool FM Lagos, she shared her enthusiasm as her hit track ‘Rush’ has been nominated for Best African Song Performance.
Ayra Starr revealed that she has meticulously planned every aspect of her participation in the prestigious event, including her attire, walk, and acceptance speech.
When asked about her readiness, she confidently stated that she is fully prepared for the Grammy Awards.
As a first-time nominee, Ayra Starr is honored to be in the category alongside renowned Nigerian artists Davido, Asake, and Olamide, as well as South Africa’s Tyla, with Grammy-winner Burna Boy also competing in the same category.
When questioned about her plans after winning the Grammy, Ayra Starr jokingly mentioned that she would visit her favorite Chinese restaurant to indulge in a meal.
Following that, she intends to video call her mother to share the good news.
“I have my speech. I have everything done already. I already know my walk and my outfit” Ayra said.
Even if she doesn’t win this year, Ayra Starr revealed that she has already planned her outfit and acceptance speech for the 2025 edition and future years.
The 66th Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on February 5 at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, USA, with South African comedian Trevor Noah serving as the host for the acclaimed event.
