FA Cup: Four Teams Secure Quarter-final Spot
Four teams have secured spots in the quarterfinals of this season’s FA Cup tournament after the completion of Tuesday’s fifth-round matches.
Coventry, Leicester City, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are among these teams.
Leicester achieved a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth in an away game on Tuesday. Manchester City dominated Luton Town, with Erling Haaland scoring five goals in a 6-2 win.
Newcastle advanced by defeating Blackburn Rovers 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.
Additionally, Coventry defeated Maidstone United 5-0 on Monday.
The remaining fifth-round fixtures will take place today, with Chelsea facing Leeds United, Manchester United playing against Nottingham Forest, Brighton meeting Wolves, and Liverpool hosting Southampton.
