I’m Not Afrobeats Artiste – Wizkid
Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid, has made it clear that he does not consider himself to be an Afrobeats artiste.
In an announcement on his Instagram story, he stated that his upcoming album is ready and cautioned fans not to anticipate an Afrobeats sound from him on this project.
He advised Afrobeats fans not to download his new album.
He wrote, “Album done! See you soon b*tches!
“And abeg if you like Pakurumo Wizkid, don’t download this new album. In fact, delete me from your playlist and your life!
“If you like Afrobeats, don’t download my album. I’m not a f*cking Afrobeats artiste. I am not Afro anything.”
