EPL: West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta At Risk Of Decade-long Suspension
Lucas Paqueta, a midfielder for West Ham, is facing a potentially lengthy suspension from football due to allegations of spot-fixing in four Premier League matches.
The Brazilian player has been charged with intentionally getting booked to manipulate betting markets in games against Leicester, Aston Villa, Leeds, and Bournemouth.
If found guilty, Paqueta could face a significant ban, potentially similar to the 10-year suspension handed to former Reading defender Kynan Isaac for a similar offense.
Additionally, Manchester City has reportedly withdrawn their interest in signing Paqueta for £80 million this summer, indicating the severity of the situation.
