MOBHAD: DNA Must Be Done On Liam Before Singer’s Burial – Father
Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian musician Illerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has emphasized the necessity of conducting a DNA test on his grandson before proceeding with the singer’s burial.
Mohbad’s body was unearthed for forensic examination shortly after his initial burial in response to public demands for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his controversial passing.
Despite this effort, the results of the autopsy performed on the musician’s body reportedly failed to definitively determine the cause of death. Consequently, the call for the late singer’s burial has been growing.
During a recent interview with TVC, Mr. Aloba declared his decision to withhold his son’s remains until a DNA test is carried out on his grandson, Liam, in order to confirm the child’s true parentage.
“I have to do the DNA [on Mohbad’s son] before the burial,” he said.
“I’m doubting the [the paternity of Mohbad’s] son also. Sometimes she [Mohbad’s wife] will leave home for 3 days without the consent of the husband.”
In response to accusations of attempting to claim Mohbad’s possessions and wearing his clothes, Aloba refuted these claims, explaining that he and Mohbad shared a friendly relationship while the musician was alive, and any shared clothing was a common occurrence between them.
He said, “When Mohbad was alive, we were friends. If he buys clothes for himself, he would also buy for me.
“Since his death, I have never gone to his house. I have never gone there for anything. But some people misinterpreted things so whenever they see me with a shirt, they say it is Mohbad’s. Is it compulsory that it must be from my son? I have my own clothes, too.”
