BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo Shatters Saudi Pro League Goal Record
Cristiano Ronaldo, In a thrilling finale to the season, made history by scoring his 34th and 35th goals for Al Nassr, breaking the previous record for most goals in a single season in the Saudi Pro League.
However, the 39-year-old Portuguese forward while reacting to this feat via his X handle said, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me.”
The legendary forward, who has played for Real Madrid and Manchester United, achieved this incredible feat in a 4-2 victory over Al Ittihad on Monday, surpassing Abderrazak Hamdallah’s record of 34 goals set in 2018-19.
Al Nassr secured a second-place finish, trailing champions Al Hilal by 14 points, with Ronaldo’s arrival in December 2022 marking a significant influx of international talent into the Saudi league.
As he prepares for his 11th international tournament, Ronaldo continues to cement his status as a football icon, holding the records for most appearances (206) and goals (128) in men’s international football.
