BREAKING: Michelle Obama’s Mother, Robinson Died At 86

Marian Robinson, the mother of former United States First Lady Michelle Obama, passed away at the age of 86 on Friday.

In a social media post, Michelle Obama described her mother as a constant source of support for the entire family.

The family paid tribute to Robinson’s wisdom, acknowledging that her ability to offer sage advice and guidance seemed almost innate, although it was actually earned through her life experiences.

Robinson, who grew up in the South Side of Chicago, initially pursued teaching before working as a secretary.

She married Fraiser Robinson in 1960, and they had two children together: Craig in 1962 and Michelle in 1964.

Michelle Obama and Robinson had a close relationship, which they discussed during an interview on “Good Morning America” with Robin Roberts in 2022.

The family recounted how Robinson was particularly supportive when her daughterr married a man who chose a career in politics.

“At every step, as our families went down paths none of us could have predicted, she remained our refuge from the storm, keeping our feet on solid ground.

“On Election Night in 2008, when the news broke that Barack would soon shoulder the weight of the world, she was there, holding his hand,” the family said.
