JUST IN: Netflix Raises Subscription By 40% For Users In Nigerian
Netflix has once again hiked its subscription prices in Nigeria, with the Premium Plan experiencing a 40% increase from N5,000 to N7,000 per month.
This marks the second price adjustment within three months, following a previous increase in April.
The Standard Plan, popular for its HD quality and multi-screen viewing, has also seen a 37.5% rise from N4,000 to N5,500.
This move is part of Netflix’s global strategy to revise subscription fees, aimed at boosting revenue and earnings growth.
The company has been implementing periodic price hikes to support its expanding content offerings, with recent increases in the US, UK, and France.
In Nigeria, the Basic Plan remains unchanged at N2,900, while the Standard and Premium Plans have seen significant increases, reflecting the platform’s efforts to accelerate growth.
