AUGUST 20: Oyo State Observes lsese Day, Declares Work-free Day
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced August 20 as a work-free day to celebrate the 2024 Isese Day.
This decision, communicated by the governor’s Special Adviser (Media), Sulaimon Olanrewaju, through a statement on Wednesday, stems from a circular issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Olanike Adeyemo.
Governor Makinde had previously mentioned that August 20 would be designated as a work-free day annually to honor Isese Day in the state.
In the circular, he urges all traditional worshippers and citizens to utilize this day for prayers aimed at fostering peace, unity, and stability within Oyo State and the nation as a whole.
