It’s Fake – Bobrisky Refutes Allegations Of N15m EFCC Bribe
Nigerian celebrity cross-dresser, Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye), has refuted allegations of bribing Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials with ₦15 million.
The controversy began when influencer Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan) released an audio recording purportedly of Bobrisky claiming to have bribed EFCC officials to drop money laundering charges.
The recording also claimed Bobrisky avoided prison time despite a six-month sentence for naira mutilation in April 2024, allegedly serving his term in a lodge arranged by his godfather.
Bobrisky dismissed the recording as fake, insisting he served his sentence in prison.
In an Instagram post, Bobrisky: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira and that I was never in prison.
“I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”
