JAMB Mock UTME 2025: Results Out Via SMS, Board Apologizes for Delays

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the availability of results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, which took place on Thursday, April 10th. Candidates can conveniently access their scores by sending a simple text message. JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, advised candidates to send the word “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used for their examination registration.
JAMB emphasized that the mock UTME is an optional exercise designed to allow the board to test its new technological advancements for the main UTME. Importantly, it also provides candidates with a valuable opportunity to experience the computer-based testing environment before the actual examination. From the initial 200,115 interested individuals, 200,113 registered, with a significant 73,844 not appearing for the test and 88 encountering biometric verification issues.
Out of the registered candidates, 126,181 successfully sat for the mock examination, and the results for 115,735 of them are now ready for viewing. JAMB also informed the public that the results for the remaining 10,446 candidates are still being processed and will be released soon. The board openly acknowledged that some candidates faced delays during the mock examination and issued an apology for any inconvenience this may have caused.
JAMB explained that these disruptions were an unavoidable consequence of implementing new features intended to improve the overall conduct of the upcoming main UTME. The board called on candidates to continue to support their efforts, highlighting the mock examination’s crucial role in their strategy to refine the UTME process and better prepare candidates. This initiative has consistently proven its value in identifying and rectifying potential problems before the main examination.
JAMB reiterated that the mock UTME serves as a vital preparatory step, allowing the board to test new systems and enabling candidates to become comfortable with the CBT format. This proactive approach has a strong track record of successfully addressing potential challenges and providing candidates with essential experience for the main UTME, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and successful examination for all.
