Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has donated critical medical equipment to Omowunmi Primary Healthcare Centre, Orita-Aperin, in Ibadan as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in the community.
The donation, announced in a statement by his Media Office on Saturday in Ibadan, is part of the senator’s broader commitment to accessible and quality healthcare for his constituents.
The 89 donated items include a motorcycle, generator, hospital beds and mattresses, fire extinguisher, sterilizer, stethoscopes, thermometers, and more. The equipment was received by Tunde Olatunji, Executive Secretary of the Oyo State Primary Health Board, along with health workers and community members.
Senator Alli described the donation as a fulfillment of his campaign promises and a contribution to the ongoing effort by the President Tinubu-led Federal Government to revitalize primary healthcare centers across the country.

“Quality healthcare is a basic right. This initiative aligns with our goal of ensuring accessible and efficient healthcare services,” he said.
Beyond health, the senator noted that his interventions in the district also include solar-powered streetlights, boreholes, skill acquisition programmes, and e-marketing empowerment projects.
He added that similar support would soon be extended to PHCs in the Ibarapa zone of his senatorial district.
While receiving the items, Olatunji commended Senator Alli for the impactful gesture and urged the PHC’s management and residents to ensure proper use and maintenance of the equipment for long-term benefit.
