Nigerian Govt Delegation Arrives Saudi Arabia Ahead Of Dantata’s Burial
President Bola Tinubu has dispatched a delegation to Saudi Arabia for the burial of renowned businessman and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Dantata will be laid to rest in the holy city of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The Nigerian delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday morning, having departed the country on Sunday.
Dantata, who died at the age of 94 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Saturday, will be buried in Islam’s sacred city of Madinah, as confirmed in the official release.
The delegation includes the Minister of Defence, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar; Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.
Also among the delegates are prominent Islamic scholars — Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, and Khalifa Abdullahi Muhammad, the Imam of Dantata Mosque in Abuja.
