EFCC Operatives Flood Obasanjo Library, Arrest ‘Internet Fraudsters’
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reportedly raided the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to arrest youths suspected of internet fraud.
According to reports, the raid took place on Sunday morning during a “Wet & Rave Splash Extravaganza” party at the OOPL’s Rounda fun spot.
A viral video captured scenes of guests scrambling for safety as EFCC officials carried out the operation.
Several youths were allegedly arrested, with “over 20 luxury cars and other valuables” seized. Sources revealed that the operation was conducted by EFCC operatives from the Lagos Directorate.
The Managing Director of OOPL Ventures, Vitalis Ortese, confirmed the incident but declined to give further details.
He said , “Yes, they did. There was an incident this morning. We will find out and we will let you know.”
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, noted that he would verify the matter and respond later.
