GWR: Record Holder Hilda Baci Sets Sights On World’s Biggest Jollof Pot— Date, Time Confirmed
Former Guinness World Record (GWR) holder for marathon cooking, Hilda Baci, has announced plans to prepare 250 bags of rice in a bid to set a new record for the largest jollof pot.
In a viral video shared on her Instagram page on Monday, Hilda revealed that the massive cookout will require a 22,619-litre pot and is scheduled for September 12, 2025.
Speaking about the cooking process, she said, “I’m making the executive decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. The pot is 6 meters wide by 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep. I’m sure the pot is not going to sink.”
The event is expected to serve 10,000 people.
This ambitious project comes two years after she earned global recognition by cooking for 93 hours, 11 minutes, setting the record for the longest individual cooking marathon.
