Top rank Nigerian Air Force Officer dies of coronavirus in Abuja

A top rank Nigerian Air Force Officer on Friday died of coronavirus in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
The Senior Officer, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Paul Nungkopba Dimfwina, reportedly died after battling with the deadly infection, coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Paul Nungkopba Dimfwina, was the Chief of Communication Information System (CCIS) at the Headquarters, Nigerian Airforce (NAF), before his death.
The 56-year old officer who hailed from Kangke LGA of Plateau State died on Friday, 21st August 2020, shortly after he was admitted to the isolation centre, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
According to an official at the NAF headquarters, the officer was very healthy when he traveled and returned from Maiduguri on Tuesday, took ill on Wednesday, and was taken to the isolation centre on Friday where he died the same day.
Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Paul Nungkopba Dimfwina was born on 28 April 1964. He had his primary education at LEA Primary School Kabwir and secondary education at Boys Secondary School Gindiri after which he proceeded to the Nigerian Defence Academy in September 1984 as a member of the 36 Regular Course.
He had gone for many courses and held many appointments in the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Dimfwina has also flown aircrafts; which include: Bulldog 123, MI-34S, Robinson 44, MI-35P, AW 109 LUH and EC 135.
The senior officer was married and had three children.
