Kidnappers murder Nigerian Army colonel after getting N10m ransom

A Nigerian Army Colonel has been killed by reported kidnappers after getting N10m ransom.
A Nigerian Army colonel, SB Onifade, who was abducted along Abuja-Kaduna Highway, has been reportedly killed by his abductors after collecting N10million ransom from his friends and family.
Onifade, a consultant gynaecologist, was abducted near Olam Farms area of the highway while traveling on 27th of September 2020.
Sources who confirmed the news to some Nigerian daillies, said that Onifade was killed on Saturday, even after payment of the N10million ransom.
According to reports gathered, the Nigerian Army had launched rescue operation for the officer, while ransom negotiation was ongoing.
