BREAKING: Obi Finally Congratulates Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu
The sponsor of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Cup, Chief Madu Obi, has congratulated President-elect, Bola Tinubu, even as he urged him to consider sports as a means for youth development.
Obi, in a statement yesterday, said sport is a veritable tool to develop the youth in the country, adding talented youngsters can better their lots by earning fantastic income through their participation in sports.
He stated that Nigeria has the capacity to turn sports into multi-billion dollar ventures where many people, including the youths, coaches, and many other stakeholders, can benefit from.

He said: “I congratulate our president-elect for his victory at the polls. However, the focus for him is to develop the youths, and I am sure sports are one of the avenues to do that. Tinubu must also know that the sports sector can become a huge money spinner where a lot of people can be employed.
“I am sure that the exploits of the like of Victor Osimhen, who is the leading scorer in Serie A, has caught the attention of the world, but he started his career in Nigeria. I also know that there are many more like him in the country.
