EDO POLL: EFCC Arrests 3 Suspected Vote Buyers (VIDEO)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three suspected vote buyers in Edo State’s ongoing governorship election.
The suspects, two men and one woman, were apprehended in Egor Local Government Area around 10:00 am on Saturday.
According to Channels TV, EFCC officials took the suspects into custody despite protests from some residents who claimed they were being unfairly targeted.
This move follows the EFCC’s pre-election warning to political parties against vote buying, reinforcing the commission’s commitment to ensuring a free and fair electoral process.
