BREAKING: Filmmaker David Lynch Is Dead
David Lynch, the iconic American filmmaker renowned for masterworks like “Mulholland Drive” and “Twin Peaks,” has departed from this earthly realm at the age of 78.
The heart-wrenching news was shared by his family on his official Facebook page Thursday evening, although the details surrounding his passing remain shrouded in mystery.
“It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch,” the statement read.
“We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, ‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.
“It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.”
Born in the enchanting town of Missoula, Montana, in 1946, Lynch’s vibrant passion for art and film blossomed early on, leading him to pursue studies at art college during the ’60s.
His artistic journey took a decisive turn in 1971 when he relocated to Los Angeles to delve into filmmaking at the AFI Conservatory, the very place where the haunting beauty of his first feature, “Eraserhead,” began to take shape.
