Nigeria Can Alleviate Poverty if Leaders Are Willing – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has conveyed a message of hope, stating that Nigeria’s abundant resources offer the potential to eradicate poverty. He attributed the nation’s current economic challenges to the inefficient use of its wealth.
Obasanjo highlighted Governor Alex Otti’s successful administration in Abia State as a model for transformative governance. He expressed his belief that replicating Otti’s approach in other states could lead to national improvement.
He referenced his past advice to Rotimi Amaechi, illustrating the importance of leaders accessing and implementing existing national development plans. Obasanjo’s comments suggested that Nigeria has the tools for prosperity, if used correctly.
Governor Otti expressed his gratitude for Obasanjo’s support, and shared the importance of vision, and perserverance. Lawmakers and Labour party leaders showed their support for Governor Otti, and thanked Obasanjo.
