2030 W’CUP FINAL: Real Madrid Sign Big Deal With FIFA
According to Marca, Real Madrid have reached an agreement with FIFA to host the final of the 2030 World Cup at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
The Spanish LaLiga giants have long campaigned for their iconic stadium to be chosen as the venue for the prestigious final.
The deal was reportedly finalized during a meeting in the United States between Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and FIFA president Gianni Infantino, held amidst the ongoing Club World Cup.
The 2030 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Portugal, Spain, and Morocco — marking the first time in history that the tournament will be staged across three different countries.
Recall that the previous edition held in Qatar saw Argentina emerged champions after defeating France in a dramatic final.
The match ended 3-3 in regulation and extra time, with Argentina clinching victory through a penalty shootout.
