BREAKING: PSG’s Hakimi Faces 15 Years In Prison If Convicted For Rape
Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi could face up to 15 years in prison if indicted and found guilty of rape, following a formal request by French prosecutors to advance criminal proceedings.
According to Le Parisien, the case originates from an allegation made in early 2023. The Nanterre prosecutor’s office has officially requested that Hakimi be indicted before the Hauts-de-Seine departmental criminal court.
The request, signed on August 1, comes after more than a year of investigation. While this move does not imply guilt, it indicates that prosecutors believe there is enough evidence to proceed to trial.
It will be recalled that on March 3, 2023, Hakimi was officially charged with rape by an investigating judge. The former Real Madrid star was subsequently placed under judicial supervision after being taken into custody.
Since then, the ex-Inter Milan player has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
