BREAKING: Enugu State commissioner for health dies

Enugu State commissioner for Health Professor Anthony Ugochukwu has been reportedly passed way.
The well known surgeon was reported to have died Friday night at a leading private hospital, Memphys Hospital Enugu.
This was confirmed by the House member representing his constituency, Oji River state Constituency in the Enugu House of Assembly Hon. Jeff Mbah.
Hon. Mbah described the Surgeon as a Genius, Technocrat; “he is a great loss to both Enugu state and Nigeria.
“We are talking about a renowned Professor of Surgeon who has a lot to offer in turning around out health sector. Its a terrible blow,” Mbah said.
He revealed that the commissioner just came back from the United States and was doing fine before the sudden death.
Professor Anthony Ugochukwu has been sick from his days as Provost College of Medicine.
He later recovered and concluded his work in the College.
However, not long after he was appointed commissioner last year, the sickness returned, this time more serious.
All these while with the emergence of the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the commissioner has been doing much of his duties.
His duties were being carried out by the permanent secretary in the ministry of health, Dr Ifeanyi Agujiobi.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed new cases of coronavirus on Friday night.
The new cases of the pandemic confirmed were twenty (20).
Eleven cases were confirmed in Lagos, three cases confirmed in the FCT, 3 in Edo, two in Osun and one in Ondo.
Two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State, with twenty-five cases discharged.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria to 210.
