BREAKING: Oyo records two new cases of COVID-19

Oyo State has confirmed new Coronavirus (COVID-19) case.
The State Government said this on Tuesday that the state has recorded another two cases of COVID-19.
The state Governor, Seyi Makinde, made this known on Tuesday in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
With the two new cases of confirmed deadly pandemic, the number of confirmed coronavirus in the state has risen to eleven.
Makinde, who is also the head of COVID-taskforce, confirmed the two new cases in a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle.
He said, “The COVID-19 confirmation test for two suspected cases came back POSITIVE, today. One of the new cases is a 28-year-old woman who returned to the country from the United Arab Emirates on March 22, 2020.
“The second case is a 42-year-old man who is a contact of an earlier confirmed COVID-19 case.
“The isolation process has been initiated, contact tracing and collection of samples have commenced. This brings the number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to eleven. Two cases have been discharged. So, there are nine active cases.”
Makinde also urged the people of the state to stick to the orders of relevant bodies on the need to curb the spread of the virus.
He said “Please, keep following the directives of the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force.
“Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, regularly. Also, continue to maintain social distancing.
Onyxnews Nigeria has reported earlier that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has discharged 7 fully recovered coronavirus patients from the territory.
The Minister of FCT, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello has revealed the discharge of seven fully recovered coronavirus (Covid-19) patients who were receiving treatment at the Isolation Centre in Abuja.
While expressing optimism that the 39 who are still on admission would soon be discharged as well, praised the health workers for their dedication to duty in face of the deadly pandemic.
This development was stated in a statement the minister signed and released on Tuesday.
