Breaking: President Buhari makes two fresh appointments

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mallam Garba Abubakar as the substantive Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Abubakar’s appointment was contained in a letter signed on Tuesday by the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, OSGF.
It is also contained in the letter the appointment of Ademola Razak Seriki as the Chairman, Governing Board of the commission.
Making it two appointments the president made.
The letter stated: “Kindly note that the tenure of the appointments should be in line with the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act.”
Abubakar has been serving as the Director of Compliance at the Commission until his recent appointment, will take over from the embattled Azuka Azinge.
Then, Azinge has been the acting Registrar-General of the commission for more than two years until she was suspended recently by the Code of Conduct tribunal, following assets declaration issues, as well as some misconducts.
