BREAKING: Another death case from coronavirus confirmed in Lagos
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that Lagos State has recorded another death case of deadly coronavirus, bringing the total number of death in the state to five.
The State Commissioner of Health, Prof Akin Abayomi took to his official Twitter handle on Sunday to announce the sad incident.
He said the death was due to complication from the virus.
“Unfortunately, Lagos recorded another death from #COVID19 related complication, bringing numbers of such sad occurrence to five,” Prof Abayomi tweeted.

The state so far has confirmed 177 cases of coronavirus while 50 persons had been discharged after recovery from the state’s isolation centre.
Just yesterday, Prof Akin Abayomi has confirmed a coronavirus (COVID-19) death case.
The commissioner confirmed a patient killed by the deadly pandemic in a private hospital on Saturday, 11 April 2020.
Nevertheless, Nigeria has recorded 13 new coronavirus cases as total number of confirmed cases in the country rises to 318 from 19 states and FTC.
While giving the update, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) had confirmed on Saturday that Lagos state recorded new 11 cases, Delta recorded one while Kano recorded its first case.
“13 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 11 in Lagos, 1 in Delta & 1 in Kano As at 9:30pm 11th April there are 318 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 70 have been discharged with 10 deaths There are 19 states with confirmed cases in Nigeria” NCDC tweeted.
