BREAKING: Coronavirus hits 323 in Nigeria as more cases are confirmed
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that Nigeria has recorded five fresh cases of coronavirus as total number of confirmed cases in the country rises to 323 in the country.
This reliable online news platform understands that this development was announced via the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) micro-blogging site, Twitter.
Giving the update, NCDC on Sunday said “five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows: two in Lagos, two in Kwara and one in Katsina.”
On Sunday night, exactly at 09:10 pm 12th of April, there are 323 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 85 have been discharged with 10 deaths.
The Agency further explained that there are 19 states with confirmed cases in Nigeria, namely: Lagos- 176 FCT- 56 Osun- 20 Edo- 12 Oyo- 11 Ogun- 7 Bauchi- 6 Kaduna- 6 Akwa Ibom- 5 Katsina-5 Kwara- 4 Delta- 3 Enugu- 2 Ekiti- 2 Rivers-2 Ondo- 2 Benue- 1 Niger- 1 Anambra- 1 Kano-1.

Coronavirus cases increase in Nigeria
In another development, a veteran Nigerian nurse who lived in the United Kingdom has been killed by coronavirus (COVID-19) less than a month after her 75th birthday with friends.
Mrs Margaret Urhoghide a retired nurse who worked for NHS England, died on March 26 after celebrating her birthday in grand style on February 29.
According to esancommunityofmanchester.org, a website of Esans ethnic group in Manchester, described late Mrs Margaret Urhoghide as a “wonderful and illustrious daughter of Esan”.
Esan is an ethnic group in Edo State in South-South Nigeria.
The website also described her birthday celebration as “a special gathering of families, friends and well-wishers”, adding that “it was a celebration of life, love, tradition and above all the goodness of God.”
It added that “the gathering was a cross-section of a cream of people from different walks of life and culture.”
