Coronavirus: Lockdown enforcement team demolishes market

The Federal capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Enforcement Team on Tuesday, demolished a makeshift street market located in AYA Junction in Asokoro for violations of COVID-19 lockdown restriction of movement of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Onyxnews Nigeria gathered that the Leader of the Team, Ikharo Attah said the demolition became necessary to stop community transmission of the dreaded Coronavirus.
“Considering the fact that the place is not just a market, but has been turned into an illegal home to many of the traders.” Attah said.
Attah noted that despite the lockdown, the places were becoming dangerously overcrowded.
People waiting for vehicle, buying and selling despite the lock down order given by the president.
