BREAKING: Nigeria records more cases of coronavirus as toll rises, see number and affected states

Onyxnews Nigeria reports that Nigeria has recorded 35 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19.
The affected states include; Lagos, Abuja, Oyo and Kano, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 442.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in it Twitter handle on Thursday night.
Giving update, the NCDC tweeted: “Thirty-five new cases of #COVID19 have been reported as follows:
19 in Lagos
9 in FCT
5 in Kano
2 in Oyo
As at 10:20 pm 16th April there are 442 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 152 have been discharged with 13 deaths.”

Onyxnews Nigeria reported earlier that Lagos State has recorded three new COVID-19 death due to coronavirus related complications.
This reliable online news platform reports that the update from the Lagos State Ministry of Health via its official Twitter handle, @LSMOH, said all three coronavirus deaths are males, aged 51, 52 and 62.
“This brings to 10, the number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos State,” the tweet reads. “One of the deceased; a medical doctor had contact with an infected person who recently returned to the country. #StayAtHome” the ministry adds.

Onyxnews Nigeria understands that the other two COVID-19 deaths have no history of travelling out of the country, or any contact with any of the confirmed cases, confirming the rise in community transmission as the Lagos State Health Commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi had explained.

With this reports, there are 442 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria, 152 have been discharged with 13 deaths cases in the country.
