Nigerian Navy suspends training resumption

The Nigerian Navy has suspended the resumption for training of successful candidates of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 30.

This was made known in a statement dated May 5 2020 released by the Naval Director of Information, Commodore Suleman Dahun to Onyxnews Nigeria.

The training which was slated to commence on May 8 2020 has been suspended till further notice.

This is to prevent the continuous spread of the pandemic disease.

However, date of resumption ‘is no longer feasible’ for now.

This reliable online news platform recall that the military organisation released the names of successful candidates of Batch 29 and 30 of the Nigerian Navy. The 29th batch had already finished their training while Batch 30 candidates are about to commence training, but it has been suspended.

Meanwhile, Onyxnews Nigeria also reported on March 24, that the Nigerian Navy had suspended its 2020 recruitment  exercise till further notice.

The Nigerian Navy suspended this year’s recruitment following the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in the country.

Commodore Suleiman Dahun made this announcement in a statement to journalists.

The statement read thus: “The Nigerian Navy wishes to inform the general public and prospective applicants that its 2020 recruitment exercise has been put on hold till further notice in response to national concerns.”

Consequently, the online registration for the 2020 recruitment has been suspended and the recruitment portal deactivated with immediate effect,” the statement said.
