COVID-19 lockdown ease: FG reveals new market days in Abuja

The FCT Minister, Muhammed Bello, has revealed new market days in the territory.
Bello approved the extension of market days for Abuja.
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that this was contained in a statement issued on Saturday, the FCT minister said markets will now open three times in a week.
The minister said with effect from May 25, markets will operate from 8 am to 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
He added that starting from Monday, additional section of the market will be opened.
The sections are, agricultural inputs for farm activities such as fertilizer, herbicides, seeds and agricultural equipment.
“Building and construction material, electrical items specially for construction.”
He insisted that all new section of the market to be reopened must ensure decontamination of their premises before the start of business.
Bello advised market operators to observe all established protocols of washing hands, wearinh of face mask and observing social distancing.
This reliable online news platform reported exactly a month ago that the Minister had approved and announced new time for markets to operate in Abuja.
He approved the extension of business hours for markets in the Federal Capital Territory.
Bello in a statement issued on Friday 25, April 2020 said, the market would operate from 8am to 3pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
He explained that the directive which took effect from Saturday, April 25, was against the earlier approved time of 10am to 2pm, at the initial outbreak of the pandemic virus.
