Bomb blast in Katsina kills at least seven

Atleast seven people died as an Improvised Explosive Device planted on a farmland exploded.

The victims of the explosion that occurred on Saturday, July 18 at a farmland near Yardagi village in Zango Local Government Area of Katsina state, were said to have died immediately.

However, Onyxnews Nigeria is yet to disclose what really led to planting the explosives at the time of filing this report, the victims reported to have gone to get grasses for their animals at the farm when they stepped on the device.

This reliable online news platform gathered that five others, who sustained serious injuries, are currently hospitalized at an unnamed hospital.

The Spokesman for Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, has however, confirmed the incident.

He vowed to issue a statement on the occurrence saying, “I will issue a statement on the incident,” SP Isah said.
