BREAKING: Lagos helicopter crash report released

A preliminary report on a helicopter crash that occurred at the Opebi area of Lagos State has been released by Accident Investigation Bureau.
OnyxNews Nigeria understands that the report disclosed that the helicopter had a valid Certificate of Airworthiness as the pilot’s last medical examination was valid till 6th August, 2020.
According to Punch, it also said there was no evidence to show that an application for the exemption provided by the All Operators’ Letter AOL DG020/20 had been submitted to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

It was also made revealed in the report that the helicopter had no capability to jettison fuel.
The crash occurred on 28 August 2020, and it involved a Bell 206B III Helicopter with nationality and registration marks 5N-BQW operated by Quorum Aviation Limited.
